Dr. Sanjeev Kumar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography, Raiganj University, West Bengal, India. Before joining Raiganj University, Dr. Kumar, has worked as an instructor, at Department of Geography, B. N. College, Patna, India. His research chiefly focus on issues of identity and conflict; demographic challenges and geopolitics; issues of welfare; entitlement and human development; urban issues; climate change and sustainability. He had delivered lectures, invited lecture in national and international levels and published more than 10 research articles and book chapters in the journals and books of international repute.His book on “Locational conflicts in Patna: A study in urban political geography” has received lot of media coverage for its unique take on urban political geography. He has working experience as principal project director, co-project investigator in different research projects sponsored by AKU, Patna, Govt. of Bihar, DST, Kolkata, Govt. of West Bengal and IMPRESS, ICSSR, Govt. of India.
